    Fiebing's LeatherColors is a low VOC leather dye formulation that works as well and as effectively as the traditional penetrating leather dye.  This Fiebing's LeatherColors emits less Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) into the air making it better for the enviroment.  It complies with CA VOC regulation title 17CCR94507-94517 that limits VOCs in certain consumer products.
    Looking to redye leather? Putting a new dye on existing finish is a difficult business. When touching up, redyeing, or refinishing leather, solvent-based dyes like Fiebing's are extremely unpredictable, and are not recommended. Fiebing's is best used on natural, vegetable tanned leather, with no existing finish.
    This dye cannot be used for upholstery leather. This includes sofas and automobile.
