Take the stick and push it into the ground slightly or the depth required to plant your seeds, twist it and slightly force the blade sideways then hold while you drop the seed into the seed tube. Watch the seed drop into the hole you have created, then close the hole with your foot or cover the seed the way you normally do. Presto! You have planted your seeds, all while you are standing up right.
The Planting Stick is handcrafted from a high quality unfinished pine wood, is very light weight and made very durable. It only weighs 1 lb. 10 oz. The handle is biscuit jointed and reinforced with a piece of laminated light plywood on each side of the handle. The blade is made from high quality steel and probably will never have to be sharpened. If the blade does become dull for any reason, just use a flat hand file and re-sharpen it.
The tool can be set up for a right or left handed person. Instruction on how to change the tool for this and hints on how to use it is included.
