    "full tang"
    (see photos). This awl is 6-1/4" long with a 4-1/16" long high quality steel blade. It has a rugged plastic amber translucent handle. This heavy duty awl was manufactured in Japan (not China).
    Having a "full tang" allows you to use a hammer on the end without ruining the tool.
