KEEP STEERING COLUMN LOCKED AT ALL TIMES DURING REPLACEMENT
With wheels straight and key removed.
Use approximately 7 “extension and 12 mm socket, under the vehicle just behind the CV joint you can gain access to the lower bolt.
    Remove the bolt.
Use 18” extension with a 12 mm socket (maybe a swivel) to come down thru the top and access the upper two bolts. Remove the bolts.
Use a pry bar to widen the Coupler. Tap it onto the steering shaft being replaced
Widen the lower coupling and pull it off. If using original hardware, make sure it is all clean using a wire wheel and inspect.
A battery post cleaner may be handy for certain application. Also, clean the gear on the rack but avoid the rack seal.
The lower coupling of the new shaft may need to be widened slightly before installing onto the rack. Install the upper and tap the coupler up.
Install the bolts, make sure no resistance that they are property lined up at the slots.
Important – Once tightened, look at the bolts with a good light to make sure the lock washers fully drew against the unit (misalignment with the slots can offer resistance making the bolts feel tight before inspection).
Turn the steering wheel from side to side a few times and recheck the bolts.
